Restaurants & Wine Bars
"Relax and Enjoy"
...that's the slogan with which Deidesheim, the official headquarters of Cittaslow movement in Germany, proudly presents itself. The selection of restaurants and wine bars is numerous, and their quality has steadily increased over the past decades, in tandem with Palatinate wine.
We would like to share with you some of our recommendations, which are within easy walking distance of our house.

Hofgut Ruppertsberg
The Hofgut Ruppertsberg is nestled amidst protected meadows nd biodynamically cultivated vineyards. Here, you'll be treated with pure, regional produce, prepared according to the seasons and with the expertise of Michelin-starred chefs.
This historic ensemble, part of the Dr. Bürklin-Wolf winery, enchants with its stylishly designed rooms and idyllic courtyard.

The estate is a 10-minute walk away.

Weinbar Magnum 44
With fantastic views of the top vineyards of the neighboring town of Forst and the Palatinate Forest, this is a delightful place to relax.
In addition to wines from the Heinrich Spindlers winery, whose family also runs the bar, wines from the surrounding top appellations and further afield are on offer.
The menu includes tapas and pinsen (see image on the left). In good weather, the garden is the ideal afternoon stop for a sundowner or aperitif before you walk to dinner.
A pleasant walk through the vineyards from the house to the wine bar in Forst takes about 30 minutes.

Restaurant
Sankt Urban
The restaurant is part of the family-run Hotel Deidesheimer Hof, located directly on the central market square. We appreciate the refined and warm hospitality and the consistently high quality of the dishes.

The wine list is very diverse, and the cozy seating areas in the main room and the dining rooms upstairs are particularly inviting.
The market square is less than 10 minutes away on foot.

Restaurant Leopold
Part of the renowned Von Winning winery, it boasts a stunning terrace and a unique ambiance.

The kitchen places particular emphasis on high-quality, regional, and seasonal ingredients. All sauces, liver dumplings, "Fleeschknepp," bratwurst, and black pudding are homemade, and traditional dishes are often carefully refined.

The wine list features select wines from the in-house cellar and neighbouring estates, as well as international wines.
